The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) revealed that it had ordered the recovery of more than MVR 170 million in the first nine months of 2019 concerning 16 cases.
However, the statistics released by ACC reveal that only MVR 78,700 was successfully recovered.
The corruption watchdog further disclosed that three cases, collectively involving MVR 3.6 million, were forwarded to the Prosecutor General's (PG) Office in the same period.
Furthermore, ACC stated that the PG Office had sent back 12 previously forwarded cases during the first nine months of 2019.
