Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has stated on Thursday that they have received reports alleging corruption against a number of former political appointees, and confirmed that they have started investigating the matter.
The allegations state that these individuals made undue use of their positions to garner personal benefits.
The commission, however, did not provide any further details regarding the case.
Meanwhile, Mihaaru has reported that according to information they have gathered, the investigation concerns two ministers of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration, as well as some sitting members of parliament.
The ACC has visited a number of relevant offices to gather additional information regarding the case in their ongoing investigations.
