'Citizen's Voice' - a dedicated web portal through which the public can submit opinions and questions directly to the President has been launched on Friday night.

The portal was launched by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu during the 'Ahaa' (translated as Ask or Listen) Forum held at the Sultan Park last night.

Ahaa Forum is a public forum where the President addresses public concerns. Last night was the first such forum led by the President.

The 'Citizen's Voice' Portal was a concept announced by the President during his Presidential Address in parliament earlier this month.

Speaking at the forum last night, the President said that while he works as a public servant, efforts must be made to work closely with the people. He asserted that he believed in, and had pledged to, conduct a transparent, accountable administration.

He called on the people to make complete use of the portal, assuring that this administration will be working to achieve the public's targets.

Even at present, the President conducts a 'President's Response' program, where he responses via video message to public queries submitted to him also via videos. These queries and responses are then posted on social media through government channels.
