Local telecommunications giant Ooredoo Maldives celebrated its 15th anniversary on Saturday, introducing special offers for its customers throughout the month of August.

As part of Ooredoo's anniversary celebration, the company has launched various promotional offers, including up to 50 percent bonus data for Prepaid customers, 20 percent Extra Data on all monthly Postpaid data packs, 15 percent bonus data on all recharges for new 'Faseyha Mini' customers and a 15 percent discount on IDD rates for all SAARC member countries.

Ooredoo Maldives, the local subsidiary of the Qatari-based telecommunications company, was established in Maldives on August 1, 2005, as Wataniya Maldives. In December 2013, the company rebranded itself as Ooredoo Maldives.
The company generated a consolidated revenue of over MVR 2 billion, and a net income of MVR 599 million in 2019.
