Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Saturday, joined the Diamond Jubilee parade of Aminiya School, in reclaimed suburb Hulhumale'.
VP Faisal and other senior officials of the government, including Minister of Education Dr Aishath Ali, welcomed the parade's arrival at Rehendhi School.
Over 2000 participants consisting of alumni, students, teachers and management took part in the school's 75th-anniversary parade which concluded at the Central Park.
Speaking at the event, Vice President Naseem highlighted the administration's policy to bolster the education system and ensure the development of the next generation as 'responsible citizens'.
Moreover, he called on society to teach children the importance of being virtuous, considerate, respectful and urged the promotion of equality, peace and justice.
The parade involved various entertainment items presented by students of Aminiyya.
