Allied opens applications for Community and Education Funds

Allied Insurance has opened applications for its Community and Education funds as part of the "Premium for Good" initiative.

The application submission window has been opened until August 15, 2023.

The Community Fund aims to support local NGOs, associations, and similar organizations in implementing community empowerment projects across the atolls. Through this fund, Allied will provide financial support for projects in six key areas, including health and well-being, social services, environmental protection, women and children's rights, education, and history.

Four of the best proposals submitted for the Community Fund will receive a financial facility of MVR 50,000 execute the proposed projects.

Allied's Education Fund will support and improve the education sector in the Maldives and empower students and teachers to undertake beneficial projects. Under this initiative, Allied will select the eight best proposals submitted, and each of them will receive MVR 25,000 to kickstart their projects.

Allied Insurance said that it opened the funds to combat financial challenges faced by local NGOs or other organizations in their cause improve local communities. The insurance provider further said that the program has empowered the communities and improved the health and well-being of the locals, which has elevated the company’s commitment towards the cause.

Allied Insurance introduced its "Premium for Good" community empowerment initiative in 2018.
