Allied Insurance, in collaboration with Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), will hold the first ‘FAIR Medical Insurance and Healthcare Congress’, by the Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Reinsurers, in Maldives this month.
The congress, themed ‘A World of Opportunity’, will be held from July 22 to 24 at Paradise Island Resort. According to Allied, the announcement received much support over allowing public participation.
FAIR was established circa 1964 to further regional cooperation and the development of the insurance industry in Afro-Asian countries. Over the years, they were able to adapt changes, review priorities and redefine strategies to continue preserving their identity and principal goals.
The organisation, which began with 20 countries, succeeded in enlarging their domain in Africa and Asia with over 245 member countries, encouraging even more to join.
According to Allied, which celebrated its 34th anniversary this year, the opportunity to host the congress would help to develop and expand their services.
