Radisson Hotel Group (RHG), on Tuesday, unveiled its first-ever resort in Maldives, the Radisson Blu Resort Maldives in Alif Dhaalu Atoll.

The newly completed resort features a total of 128 beachfront and overwater villas, with rooms ranging from 215 to 790 square meters.

For wellness oriented holiday-goers, Radisson Blu offers an overwater spa and yoga pavilion, as well as a fitness centre and sports court.

In addition to the array of gourmet offerings on the menu, all four restaurants and a café on the resort will serve Mӧvenpick coffee, chocolate and ice-cream.

"Radisson Blu Resort Maldives is a truly spectacular property" declared Andre de Jong, the Vice President of Operations for RHG's South East Asia and Pacific destinations.

"Its collection of pool villas, diverse dining, world-class leisure facilities and event space, all underpinned by Radisson Blu’s unique ‘Yes I Can!’ service ethos, will suit all types of travellers".

He added, “we are thrilled to open our first resort in the Maldives, one of the world’s most idyllic and iconic tourist destinations".

Expanding on the accessibility of the resort, Radisson Blu Resort Maldives' General Manager commented, "Our unique location - within striking distance from the international airport - makes the resort easy to reach and opens up opportunities for shorter breaks".

Radisson Blu has established various resorts in the Asia Pacific, including Australia, Bangladesh, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
