All services previously offered by the Ministry of Transport have been digitalized and made available through a single online platform.
Previously, customers were required to download, fill out, and scan forms before uploading them to access the ministry's services. With the recent introduction of 'Transport Online,' all ministry services, including those related to the registration of both land vehicles and sea vessels, are now accessible through this centralized digital platform.
During the launch of 'Transport Online' at the Ministry, Transport Minister Aishath Nahula said that this new service would greatly enhance convenience for the public. She emphasized the global trend toward a digital world and commended the efforts of various institutions in embracing this transition within the country.
Minister of State for Transport Ali Solih highlighted the significance of the newly launched online system, describing it as a crucial step in enabling better communication between the ministry and the public.
He said that, starting from the launch day, customers no longer need to visit the ministry in person for most services, except for cases involving mandatory in-person document submission.
This shift to online services is expected to not only benefit the public but also streamline processes for ministry employees.
In February, the ministry commenced the implementation of online licenses.
