Asia’s wide-reaching domestic airline IndiGo is ready to get going in full capacity by December 2021. The low-cost carrier airline has a dominating market share in India , with its large number of airplanes and passengers carried.

As ongoing restrictions in lieu of the pandemic are forecasted to ease, a boom in the travel industry is expected. The IndiGo fleet is taking aim at going more than two thirds over international travel to keep up with the increasing demand to travel.

The CEO of IndiGo Ronojoy Dutta has stated that the yield for the airline is expected to rise substantially within the coming months. However, India's air traffic recovery is estimated to be brief amid the concerns of a new wave peaking. But for IndiGo this is estimated to be fairly recoverable.

The 15 year old airline has fared well with its analytical, methodical approach to crisis management. Increased use of technology with changing the norm of the airline to be as chartered carriers instead of a scheduled airline has enabled the airline to yield gains on short-term opportunities.

The airline's adaptability in tough times has prepared it to be potentially the first airline that passengers will look to book on. Low-cost carriers will have the added advantage of lower operating costs which in turn makes IndiGo a commercially strong airline to work with.
