Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) republished its Taxpayers Charter with new changes that aim to further assist those seeking services or assistance from the authority.
The Taxpayers Charter outlines MIRA's service standards and defines what people expect from them. It also addresses individuals' rights and the obligations and responsibilities of taxpayers.
Additionally, the charter details actions customers may take if they were dissatisfied with a service.
Some of the new changes brought to the charter include the addition of 'standard of service' and encouraging the use of MIRA's online services to fulfil tax obligations.
MIRA stated that they strive to "become a leading professional organization providing quality services to taxpayers".
