Expat accused of cat killing arrested from salon

Maldives Immigration said today that the expatriate man, who had been issued a notice to appear before the agency following allegations of killing cats and using their meat to prepare food, was arrested while attempting to change his appearance at a salon.

The man in question, Arafat Hossain, 32, a Bangladeshi national, was summoned by the agency after videos surfaced on social media alleging that he had killed cats and used their meat to prepare food.
