Some properties overlap on roads, utility and sewerage networks, restructuring begins

Some of the properties allocated by the former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration in Hulhumale' Phase 2 are encroaching on the roads itselves, stated the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) today, adding that such plots can only be handed over after realigning the land plots in a way that doesn't overlap on public property.

Under the "Binveriyaa" scheme initiated by the previous government, land was allocated in Hulhumale' Phase 2, newly dredged Hulhumale' Phase 3, Gulhi Falhu, and Giraavaru Falhu. The government decided to allocate 9,000 plots of land from these locations.
