The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Maldives H.E. Kohona Walawwe Nimal Dharmakeerthi Karunaratne paid a courtesy call today to Mohamed Nasheed, Speaker of Parliament and former President.
During the meeting held at the Parliament, Nasheed highlighted the close and friendly relations between Maldives and Sri Lanka.
He further expressed appreciation to the Sri Lankan government for their continued assistance in Maldives' development and assured his commitment to increasing cooperation between the two countries.
The Ambassador gave his commitment to increasing cooperation between the two countries and expressed gratitude for all the efforts by the Maldivian government to strengthen bilateral relations.
