Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef - known as 'Senbe' during his football career - has served as Captain and led his team to victory in Saturday's match of the Veteran's Football League.

The Veteran's Football League is an annual event held with the participation of former football players who were once active in the sport.

In Saturday's match, Muiveyo Friends beat Lagoons Sports 3-1, despite Lagoons having scored the first goal.

The first two goals by Muiveyo Friends was scored by former National Team player Ahmed Saeed (Ammaty). The Vice President scored the final goal in a penalty shot the team received near the end of the match.

The Vice President has formerly served as the Senior Vice President of Football Association of Maldives. Earlier, he also filled the position of the Chairman of Club Eagles. He continued to participate in sports competitions even while he was serving as a member of parliament.

This year's Veteran's League has 10 teams made up of players aged 35 and above, divided into two groups.
