The Ministry of Education awards recognition to 37 teachers for their exemplary work in preparing students for O'Level exams.
In a ceremony held at Izzudheen School on Wednesday evening, the Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Ali, presented the "Vehi O'Level Success Program 2023" award to 37 teachers from 26 schools.
The awards were given from three categories:
- Elite Award: maintained student performance above 60 percent in the subject taught for over 15 years
- O'Level Achievement Award: maintained student performance above 60 percent in the subject taught for over 10 years
- O'Level Excellence Award: maintained student performance above 60 percent in the subject taught for over 5 years
The ministry highlighted that this program serves as a source of motivation for teachers to progress in their careers and strive for better performance from their students.
