Maziya has lost to India’s Odisha FC 3-2 after losing their two-goal lead at the Galolhu Stadium on Tuesday.

Maziya finished the first half of the AFC cup group stage match with a two-goal lead. In the second minute, Naaiz Hassan (Dhaadhu) scored a goal from a ball pass from Aisam Ibrahim.

Maziya took the lead with a penalty goal which was granted after Mourtada Fall was sent off in the 26th minute after a foul on Vojislav Balabanovic. The goal was scored by Balabanovic himself.

With the changes made in the second half, Odisha improved their game from the previous half and increased the pace.. In the 65th minute, Fall scored a goal for Odisha when he took a shot from the corner.

Odisha equalized in the 72nd minute through Diego Mauricio, and scored the winning goal in the 85th minute through forward Roy Krishna.

Bashundhara Kings and Mohun Bagan, who are part of the group along with Maziya and Odisha, will take on each other later in the day.
