Government introduced the oneGov multi-agency integrated digital platform to provide easier access for the public in seeking services from government agencies.

The solutions team behind the oneGov platform have been working tirelessly to ensure the public can access services and navigate through the platform easily.

The scope of the solutions team includes studying the service applications of government bodies, web/platform designing, configuration and all affiliated development aspects.

Once a government agency decides to come onboard the platform, the solutions team will be thoroughly assessing the agency's services and how to improve them. The team redesigns application forms of the agency to provide easier access for the customers.

The forms are designed to eliminate repetitive information, save consumption of time filling them and ensuring the applicants are not required to fill the same information more than once.

"The team has a five-step approach in handling their projects. Under the first step, the team will assess the services of the onboard government agencies, which will then be digitally integrated and redesigned under the second step. In the third step, the team will be discussing the changes brought to service access with the relevant government body, after which the team will design the service framework as per the conditions of the office in the next step. The final step involves testing and publishing," Mohamed Arushad, the oneGov solutions team leader said.

After conducting the assessment, oneGov's solutions team presents its findings and recommendations to the concerned government body.

The government office's services are launched on the platform after several discussions between the office and oneGov's team. The services do not get published on the platform without the consent and approval of its respective office, and prior to the final roll-out, the services undergo several stages of testing.

General services of agencies have been redesigned ensuring easy-application filling and access for customers. Additionally, the available services of the offices are easily viewable under one page, which can be accessed with a single click.

Instead of contacting the offices to check prerequisites before submitting for a services, customers can easily check the criteria or required information for each service through the oneGov portal. Additionally, the services show an estimated amount of time a customer will be spending in filling the application form.

Additionally, customers can easily track the progress of their active applications. One of the most notable features of the oneGov platform is the website redirection; if and when required, that takes the customer directly to the portal of the respective government agency of which the customer is seeking service from.

The solutions team have undergone a painstaking task to innovate government's services to comply with the digitally transformed world. The platform has allowed customers to access multiple government agencies without having to access the website of each government office.

The oneGov currently has onboard 9 agencies while other public offices are in talks to adopt the platform.
