Scrapping of old vehicles on roads begins today

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation announced on Friday that they will commence the process of towing and scrapping vehicles that have been left unused for a long period of time on the roads of Malé and Hulhumalé from Saturday, February 17.

In an announcement, the Ministry stated that this initiative is part of their efforts to tackle traffic issues in the Male' area caused by congestion resulting from an increased number of vehicles.
