He said that the trips will commence next week, and assured that repeat visits will also be scheduled as time permits. Meetings with residents of Male' will also be planned in the future as his schedule allows.

The President reiterated that they are elected through the votes of the public to serve all citizens without discrimination and in an approachable manner, and assured that he intends to ensure this is achieved.

The first of the ministerial public forums will be held next week. These forums will be two hours long, and will be held at the end of every two months, with five cabinet members present at each to answer public queries.

"This will be a public forum. Attendees will be given the opportunity to pose any question to the Ministers regarding projects and concerns related to their field. Then again, two months later, the next batch of cabinet ministers will hold a forum," the President explained.

The President himself will also be holding forums once every three months, allowing the public to directly address him with queries and concerns. The first of these forums is scheduled to be held in February.

"God willing, we will be aiming to work closely with the citizens in this manner. There are no questions that we cannot answer. We are doing the work entrusted to us by the citizens. The work outlined in the Constitution. There are no questions in that work that cannot be answered. There will be nothing to hide. Nothing we are unaware of. Nothing we cannot be accountable or responsible for," the President stated.
