Addu International Airport (AIA) has asked Asian Academy of Aeronautics (AAA) to vacate the buildings they were using to operate a Flying School.
The agreement between AIA and AAA ends by July 31. A notice indicating as such have been sent to AAA, Managing Director of AIA Gais Naseer told "Mihaaru".
The notice was sent as AIA had decided not extend the contract they had with AAA.
AAA was given the building to operate the flying school over decade ago, in 2009. The contract made then, for a period of ten years, has been extended at several points over the years since .
The students of AAA's flying school has been complaining about the way the management treats their students for several years now. One of the major complaints lodged against them, in addition to mistreatment, is the financial burden placed on students enrolled in the flying school as a result of the program not being completed within the required 18 month duration. Some students have been enrolled in AAA's flying school for over four years.
