Nine islands in the Maldives have experienced flooding due to severe rainfall.
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is closely monitoring the damage caused by the ongoing torrential rains. As of 18:00 hrs today, flooding and strong winds have been reported on nine islands, according to the authority.
