Man sentenced to 34 years for sexually assaulting a minor

A man has been sentenced to 34 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of child sexual abuse.

Criminal Court sentenced Ahmed Rashwan Ismail Rasheed after convicting him of sexually touching a child and producing pornographic material involving the child.

He received 20 years for the production of pornography and a further 14 years for sexual assault of a minor.

As the case involves a minor, the court did not disclose further details of the proceedings or the judgement.
