Following changes to Thailand's immigration policies, travelers to the country will be required to fill a "Thailand Digital Arrival Card" starting next month.
In a press statement issued yesterday, Maldives Foreign Ministry stated that due to changes in Thailand's immigration policies, every passenger traveling to Thailand will need to complete a "Thailand Digital Arrival Card" before entering the country, effective from the first day of next month, as decided by the Thai government.
The online form must be filled out three days before traveling to Thailand. The Foreign Ministry clarified that this change does not affect any existing visa arrangements or policies between the Maldives and Thailand.
The ministry stated that Maldivians can still travel to Thailand with a 90-day entry visa as before.
Therefore, the ministry has requested that Maldivians traveling to Thailand complete the "Thailand Digital Arrival Card" online before departing from the Maldives. The ministry also urged travelers to respect the laws and regulations of the countries they visit.
Thailand is a country frequently visited by Maldivians for tourism, trade, and other purposes.
