Addu International Airport (AIA) has announced that it is accepting applications from bidders willing to operate a flying school in Addu.
According to AIA, the three former proposals received following the announcement made in July were cancelled before the latter announcement.
Per the recent announcement, Expression of Interest (EOI)s will be accepted before January 9, 2020. The bidding process will be held two days later, on January 11.
Moreover, AIA declared that experience and financial capability will be taken into consideration when awarding the bid.
AIA is seeking a flying school operator after Sri Lanka's Asian Academy of Aeronautics (AAA), the company that was operating a flying school in Gan since 2010, announced that they will close the institution in July 2020.
