Maldives Police Service arrested four people over the weekend for violating the nationwide travel ban implemented to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Police disclosed that three local men aged 26, 28 and 32 had attempted to illegally leave Himandhoo, Alif Alif Atoll via a dinghy at 2345 hrs on April 30. They turned back after the island's task force caught sight of them in the lagoon and hailed them with a torch.
