Weather worsens, Yellow Advisory issued

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) has issued a Yellow Advisory over a large part of Maldives.

MET has issued the Yellow Advisory for torrential rain and thunderstoms with gust winds of 40 mph and rough seas from Kaafu atoll to Laamu atoll.

The advisory is in effect from 10:45 am to 2:00 pm today.

According to the MET's 48-hour forecast, adverse weather is expected to persist over much of Maldives.
