Fire breaks out at Kuredu Island Resort and Spa

Kuredu Island Resort, Lhaviyani Atoll reported a fire-related incident on Wednesday that occurred at the property's gift shop.

Although the fire that broke out badly damaged the godown and stored goods, no casualties were reported.

The incident was reported to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) at approximately 0100 hours. The MNDF Northern Area Naifaru Fire Station managed to bring the fire under control at 0400 hours.

The Police are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
