Danish traveler Torbjørn "Thor" Pedersen is set to make history as the first person in the world to visit every country without stepping on a plane.
Thor's journey will conclude this May with a visit to the Maldives, his final destination, aboard the Maldives State Shipping’s MSS Graphene, the third vessel in the state-run shipping liner.
Thor expressed his gratitude to Maldives State Shipping on social media for their assistance in completing his journey.
The project, dubbed "One Upon a Saga" is a one-man journey to visit every country in the world in a single journey without the use of flight. Thor’s adventure began back in October 10, 2013, and within 10 years, he has traveled to 202 countries.
Thor's journey to visit every country in the world without flying will conclude in May as he departs from Sri Lanka and enters the Maldives.
Throughout his journey, Thor has been documenting and sharing his travel experiences as a social media influencer, travel blogger, and Red Cross Ambassador. Along the way, he has collaborated with renowned global brands including Maersk, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), among others.
